
Kidzone’s aim is to provide good quality, professional care for children aged from two to fourteen year olds over two school sites and including holidays.
The activities provided for the children will be relevant to their age, abilities, social, ethnic or religious backgrounds and personal development. The centre is to provide a relaxed and stimulating period of time and the children will be given a choice of activities e.g. sports, board games, arts and crafts, quiet area, home corner and more, which can be freely chosen or if required enhanced with the intervention of a caring, professional staff base.
The centre and all the staff members are registered with Ofsted, on the last inspection were given a “Good” rating; Alderman Jacobs Centre, October 2009; Park Lane Centre, May 2009. All staff are CRB cleared and qualified first aiders.
Nine members of staff are qualified to diploma level 3 in playwork, four staff members are quailified to diploma level 3 in early years, three members of the staff are qualified to level 2 in playwork/early years.
Since January 2011 we have also operated an apprentiship scheme.
